Dante Mosely, Hyde Park Bank’s Vice President of Business Development and 57th Street Branch Manager, was recently honored as one of 50 MEN of EXCELLENCE nominated by Chicago Defender readers. The sixth annual program recognized educators, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, civil servants, and other professionals from both the public and private sectors. The men were selected based on qualities such as high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, skillful execution, and the vision to see obstacles as opportunities.

Born and raised on the city’s South Side, Mosely describes himself as a true Chicago native who understands the local business environment. Although he’s spent much of his career in banking, Mosely says his experience as an entrepreneur has greatly influenced how he works to meet the needs of Hyde Park Bank customers.

That experience, he says, taught him the value of building lasting customer relationships based on trust and mutual respect. He believes that Hyde Park Bank’s success in building and sustaining mutually rewarding relationships with its customers is driven by its strong commitment to the community.

That’s why Mosely devotes considerable time to meeting personally with local residents, business owners, and civic leaders. He’s also the proud father of triplets, and is actively involved in volunteer work with the Board of Elections in Cook County and his Northwestern University alumni group.
